Hell, I'd have a go at a cam with an angle grinder if I had a blank to hand :lol:

Kind of reminds me of the guy who was adjusting his valve caps with an angle grinder...... that didn't work very well either!

Yes it is possible to make certain things like manifolds, but to be fair if all you had was a welder and an angle grinder its going to look pretty rough... I am being polite :lolno:

I beg to differ, I've done a few!

Owelly, your car proves the need for a descriptive word far beyond the other side of 'rough' :lol:

Wireing, as in which wires are needed to run variuos engines. I know it might not be possible for all/many engines but a single page per engine would be very handy. Readers can send in their diagrams maybe?

Lets start with the Omega V6 3.0 cos I need it, lol

So, if you have any suggestions on articles/subjects, you'd like to see in the mag, please put them here.

Here's my suggestions, to get the ball rolling;

I'd like to see some articles on Megasquirt, as the electronics side of things is a mystery to be me, I still think that those boxes are just filled with pixies and wizards!!

Also I'd like to see an article on making your own poly/nylon suspension bushes, for track cars, seeing as its nearly impossible to get them for my Merc W123.
It'd be good to get some info on what materials/grades are suitable for what, and how to go about machining them, or moulding them.

Please, only post constructive suggestions here, let's keep this thread positive!!

Cheers Frank :thumbup:

I have no idea about the magazine.Uphil or down!I have to admit that untill finding this forum I was not aware of it,sorry.
However I would like to know more about the eletrical/electronic tuning stuff.
I had heard of mega squirt and I know of a guy who is cheif sparky at a place we do work for but from what I can tell it has to be built D.I.Y and I know that would be beyond me and so I have just today taken delivery of an Emerald ECU/Jenvey TB kit.
Now the mechanical side of this conversion does not phase me at all,I'm having to make my own manifold etc but the thought of splicing into loom wires etc is filling me with total dred.
If anyone from the magazine wanted to come and do this with me as an article then they would be more than welcome. It may not be a full on mega squirt type job but may well help to lift a veil,or maybe its just me that is so far behind!
The conversion is going on what I believe is a reasonably popular engine,Mitsi 4G93,the actual car being a Proton Satria GTI 1.8 2002.
