this is a very rare, very interesting and very expensive to buy new bit of kit. its from a mazda 626 diesel cromprex. i will advise reading up on it, as its quite tricky to get your head around how it works.

Looks like an exhaust assisted Vortex supercharger.

Fancy a more traditional Eaton dual screw?

Yes indeed, all it needs is the proper electric motor to drive it.... (couldn't resist)

So let me get this right:
The spinny thing has to be synchronised to the engine speed and acts like a rotating multi-port valve. A blob of cool fresh air is admitted to the rotor/valvey thing then as it rotates, the fresh air is trapped as the high pressure exhaust gas is admitted. Then the fresh air is pushed by the slug of exhaust into the cylinder and the valve is closed before the exhaust gets there, and another port opens to vent the exhaust gas out of the chimbley.
I say 'ports' but these are just positions of the rotor as it, er, rotates..
It looks good on paper but for the likes of me, getting the pulses, and capacity matched to the rotor-doings looks a bit complex. Or comprex.
I still want one.
Where in the country is this thing?

The Eaton worked out £15 standard parcelfarce so it would end up on retailandtradeoutlet's eBay page anyway. ;)

hi all, sorry i haven`t replied, it was suposed to send me an email when it got a reply but anyway.

owelly - yes thats exactly how it works, well done for understanding it, it took me a while to get my head around it.

its doesn`t have to be in time with the engine as it was driven by a normal v-belt so it could slipped if it wanted to, but it might take a bit of time to get the gearing right for it, but somebody who is clever could work it out, thats why i haven`t done anything with it lol.

i would put postage around £15-£20 as it is quite heavey.

Do you still have this? If so, how much, and can you ship overseas (Finland)?
