PPC in the Park 2011 is the ultimate car show for car enthusiasts and petrolheads. It has everything you would expect from PPC magazine in a live show, in one action packed day at Mallory Park on Saturday 21st May 2011.

Full details and Booking here: http://www.ppcmag.co.uk/ppc-in-the-park.html

Hot rods: The National Association of Street Clubs show off their polish and their prowess on track. They are surprisingly quick thanks to their big V8s and even bigger balls.
BHP Competition: We want to find the most powerful car at PPC in the Park. Dan Turner from Advanced Motorsport and Engineering is bringing along his hub dyno-set up and offering free power runs to the most powerful cars. His set-up can handle over 1500bhp through a single axle (more for four wheel drive). If you've got a car that approaches the magic 1000bhp figure get in touch and we'll get you booked in.
Off road action: If you like your action on the dirty side we've got the off road buggies again with Team-X running the show but this time we're opening it up to any 4x4 providing the vehicles have a roll cage fitted and the driver has a suitable crash helmet. The course is a World Motorcross track and has some big jumps but you can plod around it at our own pace or get some air if you are feeling brave.
PPC Cars: All the PPC cars will be brought along for you to have a look at and PPC staff will be there to chat through their cars and favourite features.
Burnouts: Because we can. Different cars doing burnouts. We’ll never ‘tyre’ of it. I’ll get my coat.
Jet engine: fitted to PPC track-day Rolls Royce. Not happy with seven-litres of turbo charged Rolls Royce V8 to power the PPC Roller the boys have been out and bought a jet engine. The plan is to fire it up for the first time on the day. Wear your fire proof pants.
The world’s first PPC Non-concours: The typical concours is a parade of motor vehicles in which the car in the ‘best original condition’ is given a prize. We do things a bit differently at PPC. We are holding the first ever non-concours. The winner will be the car that has the most amount of modifications - be it home-grown (Charlie-style), after market, or bastardised. Editor Will Holman will pick the cars he likes the most – yes, it’ll be that arbitrary – not a clipboard in sight. The winner will receive a PPC prize.
Autotest Test yourself with our Autotest: It’s always a great spectator sport too – you can’t beat the sounds and smells of an Autotest, smack bang in the middle of a show to get the juices going. We allow anyone to have a go –for just £10 for 3 runs. This year we are pitching club against club – nominate your best driver to take part in the Autotest and we’ll announce the winning club at the end of the show.
Win a ride with Charlie.Everyone who buys a PPC in the Park Early Bird ticket will be entered into a draw to win the chance to be on track with Charlie. It’s a once in a lifetime offer - imagine the stories you could tell your kids.

Practical Performance Car (PPC) magazine, a monthly publication aimed at real car enthusiasts, with real-world cars. At PPC we pride ourselves in providing the most entertaining, informative and inspiring features for petrolheads everywhere. Each month we feature an eclectic mix of affordable performance cars, great driving adventures and world-class technical features for the DIY tuner.

Everyone who works on the magazine is a dyed-in-the-wool car enthusiast and this is reflected in the cars we drive and the topics we write about. Whether it be fast road, track-day or grass roots motorsport you’ll find it in PPC. Our editorial team is headed up by well known editor Will Holman. Will has a deserved reputation for his ’stick a V8 under the bonnet’ attitude to life and has had (and crashed/ had stolen/ rusted away) enough cars to fill a monthly magazine on his own. His editorial team is stacked with experience with the likes of Dave Walker (speciality engine management), of the sadly-missed Car and Car Conversions magazine, David Vizard, the legendary engine tuning guru, and Kevin Leaper (speciality buying cars in pubs) – ex technical editor of Practical Classics. Have a look at the Staff Cars and features to give you a flavour of PPC but for the real thing get along to your local WH Smiths or independent newsagent. PPC is on sale on the last Thursday of every month.
