6R4 Mini Clubman Estate

wild car/engine combo's? grab a badgers milk and a jaffa then tell the gang here

Mini Clubman Estate - not the BMW one - 6R4

Buy a Mini Clubman Estate (hens teeth, and even total wrecks are expensive).
Rip out everything (ebay fest).
Convert to mid engined V6(and maybe 4x4).
Massively modify an already expensive metro 6R4 body kit.

Presto!

The Pie Van project is not a clubman (or an estate), but kind of. No body kit tho.
Anyone know how to post pic's here? Or is that a no no for bandwidth reasons?

One of my earliest childhood memories involved a pink Mini with a Metro Turbo engine in the back parked up on Hunstanton Prom'. I think it was a kit car called the "4R2". John Cooper put the engine in the back of a few Mini's and of course he created the "Twini" a twin Cooper S (1275) engine Mini that was as quick off the line as the V8 touring cars it was aimed at. Twin engine cars were banned from the touring series so only a few were ever built. BL's Special Developments (SD) built an experimental four wheel drive Mini van but it was shelved as they couldn't think of use for it. Ten years later the Panda 4x4 was launched to critical acclaim. Another case of BL needing glasses.

Now MGF's are dirt cheap I was thinking about a special "K" from a 45 or MG ZT (1.8t) in the back using MGF running gear and modified subframe. Mini prices are too high for me at the moment. I wouldn't be straight forward but it also wouldn't with the advances thanks to Z-Cars (the kit car people not the guys who drove yellow Police cars) it would be a good project to take on for someone.

Its not normally a problem but keep them to a sensible size as it seems to do funny things with pics over about 1024x768.

So how can I upload them?
Is there a section I haven't found for pics?

There isn't any image storage facility on this site. We normally upload to some other site like Photobucket or Flickr something like that then link across using the IMG buttons.

At PPC we pride ourselves in providing the most entertaining, informative and inspiring features for petrolheads everywhere. Whether it be fast road, track-day or grass roots motorsport you’ll find it in PPC. Our editorial team is headed up by well known editor Will Holman. Will has a deserved reputation for his ’stick a V8 under the bonnet’ attitude to life and has had (and crashed/ had stolen/ rusted away) enough cars to fill a monthly magazine on his own. His editorial team is stacked with experience with the likes of Dave Walker (speciality engine management), of the sadly-missed Car and Car Conversions magazine, David Vizard, the legendary engine tuning guru, and Kevin Leaper (speciality buying cars in pubs) – ex technical editor of Practical Classics. Have a look at the Staff Cars and features to give you a flavour of PPC but for the real thing get along to your local WH Smiths or independent newsagent. PPC is on sale on the last Thursday of every month.
