Other than that i had a good time and it's great to see such a great mix of cars and people in one place.

Long may it continue but i think a few things on the safety side need to change, just my 2 pence worth.

I did go to the briefing and I didn't have a Z ticket. I had four sessions booked. B was a nightmare for me so I was keeping put of everyones way, moving to the right place on the track to let folks past as soon as I could. I did about 4 laps and came in. I gave my E session away as it was still too wet for me/my car. Sessions L and M were a hoot and I was out with passengers. Again, I made sure I kept out of the way as my plastic car leaves the occupants feeling very vulnerable when on the track with bigger, heavier, less plastic vehicles. All the video footage I've seen with my car on thevtrack shows me keeping out of the way, looking behind more then is needed, taking corners timidly, and even though fairly quick on the straights, I still give way to cars in my mirrors.

Talk about a belated rant......well a rantlet:
then you went out to the left hand side of circuit stopping me from overtaking you propperly

Er, yes. I did move to the outside/lefthand side of the track, because that's exactly what you're supposed to do to allow overtaking on the right.

It was still a cracking day so same again next year, but with more sunshine.

I think your wrong.

I was in the briefing and i have to agree with the volvo guy, we were told were to overtake, were not to overtake, not in the breaking zones.

Plus i followed you out in session B, you went gingerly around gerrards and then onto the straight, the car stepped out slightly so you lifted off, then you went out to the left hand side of circuit stopping me from overtaking you propperly.

Did you go in the briefing? because the problems i had that day all seemed to be from the people who had these Z tickets.

That prick, i'm going to call him a prick because i allready have on pistonheads in the red TVR was overtaking on the inside, outside, on the bends and in the breaking zones to the hairpin, i was just about to turn in at the hairpin and there he was, in my turning space, if i'd have hit him who was to blame?

Him thats who, but he thinks its all a game on pistonheads so i stand by my comments, HE'S A PRICK. he even put a video on youtube for all to see.

As for comments on 'it seems to be the regular trackdayers' i'm a regular track dayer and i've done plenty but i still have to go to the briefings and listen to the rules so that i know were to overtake, were not to overtake.

I'm sorry but i think it's too laid back at these meetings, i've been to every PPC in the park and it's nothing like a normal track day, were do you show your licence? were on the forms do you put what vehicle your in, god forbid you have an accident and end up out of it, how do they tie that vehicle with the hundreds of people who signed on? whilst in the briefing, this year and the last ones, people come in, stand there for a few minutes then go into the next room and get a wristband.

I've seen that.

Then not only that they give you the wristband, not put it on you, you could go and give that to absolutely anyone, anyone who could go onto the track not having a clue what to do.

Back to the PRICK in the TVR, that spoilt my morning, i was livid when i came back in and i wanted to find the guy but i could not.

It was only later in the day i found out he was in one of the pitlane garages but i'd calmed down by then but if i'd have seen him after my session he'd have had a piece of my mind.

Do You have a picture of me on your bedroom wall?

Go on, admit it you do!

Practical Performance Car (PPC) magazine, a monthly publication aimed at real car enthusiasts, with real-world cars. At PPC we pride ourselves in providing the most entertaining, informative and inspiring features for petrolheads everywhere. Each month we feature an eclectic mix of affordable performance cars, great driving adventures and world-class technical features for the DIY tuner.

Everyone who works on the magazine is a dyed-in-the-wool car enthusiast and this is reflected in the cars we drive and the topics we write about. Whether it be fast road, track-day or grass roots motorsport you’ll find it in PPC. Our editorial team is headed up by well known editor Will Holman. Will has a deserved reputation for his ’stick a V8 under the bonnet’ attitude to life and has had (and crashed/ had stolen/ rusted away) enough cars to fill a monthly magazine on his own. His editorial team is stacked with experience with the likes of Dave Walker (speciality engine management), of the sadly-missed Car and Car Conversions magazine, David Vizard, the legendary engine tuning guru, and Kevin Leaper (speciality buying cars in pubs) – ex technical editor of Practical Classics. Have a look at the Staff Cars and features to give you a flavour of PPC but for the real thing get along to your local WH Smiths or independent newsagent. PPC is on sale on the last Thursday of every month.
