Throttle Bodied Clio
The car looks like this;
not too many external changes, its lowered on Spax springs, delocked, tailgate smoothed, spoiler and some forged lightwieght wheels of unknown Japanese origin [8D]
The first round of mods added the 16v front brakes;
Shortly after I ported and polished an early head for the renault energy engine. The earlier one is better than the later one as the ports are a much better design.
Early
Late
And the one I did had the ports polished clean, the chambers tidied up and new inlet valves
while all this was going in I added a colour coded rocker cover

I've a few more goodies to go on at the same time;
Race tech oil pres/temp gauge
and a Forge alloy header tank
The tb's are to be controlled by a Megasquirt which is nearly built. The car originally had single point injection so going to multipoint on the tb's required the standalone management. I also figured whilst I'm at it I'll get rid of the dizzy to and fit a Ford EDIS set up.
A few random tb pics,
head end of the home made stub manifold.
filter end, with the very sexy looking mini filters [:p]
and trial fit a couple of weeks ago, mmmmm [8D]

Anyway, the eagle eyed amoung you may have spotted only 3 filters fitted in this picture
The reason being that the 3 brake lines running across the bulkhead foul on the filter and so need moving. This prompted a quick call to the ever helpful (if slightly expensive [:0]) people at Demon Tweeks to purchase some copper nickel brake line and some end fittings. I've been trying to get the ends to flare nicely on a couple of practice bits and think I've got it sussed so new brake lines this week [:D]

The last time I was doing a lot of work on a car and using the autofactors near my parents a LOT I ended up getting a discount. I dont think it was because they thought I was in the trade, I think it was because they felt sorry for me [:D]

Is the flaring tool easy to use?...... well I can get the pipes to flare, though whether they are the right shape remains to be seen. I cut all the pipes I need to length last night and deburred and cleaned the ends. I'm going to bend them to shape tonight but I want to do a half decent job of them as they in the engine bay so i'm collecting round things at the moment to use as dies [:)]

Once cut to length I bent all the lines, didnt fancy buying a pipe bender so decided to bend them by had. Well after using a 1" socket I think most of the bends have gone pretty well [:)]
Lines all bent to shape
The 3 green brake lines running across the bulkhead are the ones I want to replace
Mental note to self, and maybe helpful to others, just because you think you've emptied the brake fluid reservoir by syringeing all the fluid out doesnt actually mean its empty [xx(] the next pic is of the master cylinder with reservoir removed but after cleaning quite a lot of spilt fluid [:(]
