Just to make sure the car does stand up instead of wheelie bars how about one of these?

Might be looking at doing this apres £999-

http://www.toyotasprint.com/tss/index.php

Probably the last 1 or 2 this year with a view to doing the full season next year. Won't be fitting a TRD if we do though as that'd put us in with the 'Big Boys'!!

Been making a few enquiries about the class (C PRO) we'd be running in. One of the winning cars from a couple of rounds was a 1400KG / 215BHP Supra. I think we might be in with a shout

Well, were getting pretty close to finally getting the V6 installed. It's all reassembled after its top end rebuild and gasflowing -

Image

It's got it's new engine mount fitted and PS pump etc removed-

Image

Original MR2 gearbox is bolted in place (only one hole to drill out to 12mm to allow fitment). Unfortunately there's no flywheel in there as I'm still waiting for a mate to elongate the existing holes as it wouldn't quite fit on my pillar drill-

Image

Looking to get it in next weekend (flywheel permitting!!) and then onto the challenge of making some sort of eggsaust for it

The V6 is finally in there!! Went in a doddle, it's tight in there but no harder than fitting the 4 pot really :D

Seemed rude not to crack a celebratory Stella once she was bolted in place

Just the wiring and eggzorst to sort now!!

Managed to get a decent crack at the exhaust this afternoon.

Hopefully this was the difficult bit, the rear bank looping round to meet the Y-piece over the rear subframe. I've managed to incorporate a joint (old Montecarlo exhaust from shed :D ) to allow it to split for removal. The rest of the bits are an old MR2 downpipe and bits from the Kwik-fit scrap bin = £0

Just tacked at the mo', will clean it all up and weld properly once I'm happy-

Should hopefully mate up to any N/A rear box and de-cat once done.

Got the exhaust welded properly this weekend and just lashed a bit of VHT on it-

Quite happy how it's turned out :D

We're going for a big push this weekend to get it running. This should leave us the obligatory '1hr tinkering time' before Mallory

Practical Performance Car (PPC) magazine, a monthly publication aimed at real car enthusiasts, with real-world cars. At PPC we pride ourselves in providing the most entertaining, informative and inspiring features for petrolheads everywhere. Each month we feature an eclectic mix of affordable performance cars, great driving adventures and world-class technical features for the DIY tuner.

Everyone who works on the magazine is a dyed-in-the-wool car enthusiast and this is reflected in the cars we drive and the topics we write about. Whether it be fast road, track-day or grass roots motorsport you’ll find it in PPC. Our editorial team is headed up by well known editor Will Holman. Will has a deserved reputation for his ’stick a V8 under the bonnet’ attitude to life and has had (and crashed/ had stolen/ rusted away) enough cars to fill a monthly magazine on his own. His editorial team is stacked with experience with the likes of Dave Walker (speciality engine management), of the sadly-missed Car and Car Conversions magazine, David Vizard, the legendary engine tuning guru, and Kevin Leaper (speciality buying cars in pubs) – ex technical editor of Practical Classics. Have a look at the Staff Cars and features to give you a flavour of PPC but for the real thing get along to your local WH Smiths or independent newsagent. PPC is on sale on the last Thursday of every month.
