Here is the slowest bit of 'racing' you're ever likely to see this side of a snail betting ring.....

Would have moved a lot better without half worn tyres on the back

If you watch some of the other 4wd vids and look at the swamp near the end you can imagine how much cursing was going on in our little 2wd!

Christ missed a fair few updates on here, sorry.

June:
Compression test today after a sudden loss of power at the last event - looks like this one is kaput too. Yay.

Which after some checks turned out to be the engine builder had ground through the hardening on the side plates, so we got a lovely 200 miles out of a complete rebuild, nice eh?
Being completely skint by now (engine builder seriously dragged out sorting motor as he had to source new bits for the ones he'd fucked - in fact, we've only just got it back a few weeks ago), we bandied about a few cheap alternate engine idea's like a boggo 2 litre motor, but gave up after realising how much cost was in just altering the mounts, cage, panelwork, ducting, clutch, etc.

So, in October, after sitting in the dark untouched for months, we finally called it quits and put her up for sale

Anyone want a rebuilt RX-8 motor?

I've got some lovely rotary shaped paperweights too, you want one?

Random weird fact of the day, the exhaust system now graces a Rover 400 :D

What spec is the RX-8 engine?

How much do you want for it?

I might know of a nice RX-3 shaped home for it...

Practical Performance Car (PPC) magazine, a monthly publication aimed at real car enthusiasts, with real-world cars. At PPC we pride ourselves in providing the most entertaining, informative and inspiring features for petrolheads everywhere. Each month we feature an eclectic mix of affordable performance cars, great driving adventures and world-class technical features for the DIY tuner.

Everyone who works on the magazine is a dyed-in-the-wool car enthusiast and this is reflected in the cars we drive and the topics we write about. Whether it be fast road, track-day or grass roots motorsport you’ll find it in PPC. Our editorial team is headed up by well known editor Will Holman. Will has a deserved reputation for his ’stick a V8 under the bonnet’ attitude to life and has had (and crashed/ had stolen/ rusted away) enough cars to fill a monthly magazine on his own. His editorial team is stacked with experience with the likes of Dave Walker (speciality engine management), of the sadly-missed Car and Car Conversions magazine, David Vizard, the legendary engine tuning guru, and Kevin Leaper (speciality buying cars in pubs) – ex technical editor of Practical Classics. Have a look at the Staff Cars and features to give you a flavour of PPC but for the real thing get along to your local WH Smiths or independent newsagent. PPC is on sale on the last Thursday of every month.
