TVR project

TVR project

Starting Jan, TVR Taimar/3000M project any tips appreciated, car for track only. Thinking of putting fuel lines in chassis and electrics in body for quickish body lift off if needed. Chassis shotblasted/welded and painted , ready for suspension and diff.
What do you think.

sounds yummy! any piccies?

your fuel lines and wiring idea sounds like a plan, but doesn't the body on those hook over the chassis at the back making removal tricky?


what engine are you running turbo 2.9? cossie V6?
(v8 sounds better tho)

V6 Essex with lots of money spent and a big turbo. Can't remember much about removing body ( 12months+ ago ) bit sticky at front but back OK, had to remove steering first.
Can't figure out how to upload pictures[:(] but will wait until motor and Mustang 4 speed are in chassis so it looks as if we are along a bit. Chassis looks good in Hammerite matt silk, bit pricey at 30 quid a tin but worth it.

It'll be nice to see an old TVR, I think they're a bit on the ugly side but I kinda like the styling all the same!
Pics are easy. Get yourself a Photobucket account (nothing to it, they have a guide on how to join up, even I didnt find it difficult!), then when you've got the pics you want in there just use the address with the "IMG" bit on it & copy it into your post.
