my current money pit/tyre smoke generator! bought for £400 off t'ebay its a 3.0 manual v8 with a cracking collection of dents and filler but mint mechanicals mean its a very practical muscle car. currently running a screwfix cooker ducting/ebay crap/throw everything in the bin tuning package, no rear silencer and very little rest of exhaust (its loud!) can be seen terrorising pointless chav muppets in around the coventry area twice daily.

will keep updated with piccys as fun continues

i wouldn't know where to begin to be honest although i have thrown away plenty of weighty crap :)and its my daily driver too so not keen to blow it up. its being done up on a very budget theme so would fit the £999 easily. cost £400 for the car, approx £160 so far in bits (paint (£40), oil filter housing and filter (£35), spark plugs (£25), induction kit (£12), door rubbers (£25), door handle surround (£13), big tin of filler (£8), sandpaper (£3), shiny gearknob (£8), and thats about it.

just pricing up some citroen exhausts to chop up to build a proper dual single silencer system, hoping to do it for less than £40.

must get pics up i swear!

a little bit of progress, got 2 exhausts to chop up and mod to build a new system for a whopping £8. also threw some more filler at the doors and painted them but it still looks utterly trousered so going to a bmw breakers v.soon for 2 doors. cost approx £40.

apart from that i changed the fuel filter and popped a 200k ohm resistor in place of the intake temp sensor to fool it into running advanced timing for a little extra oomph. probably only worth 1 bhp :) got a set of £free 16" z3 5 spokes coming at the weekend as the mother-in-law has upgraded to some 18's

Practical Performance Car (PPC) magazine, a monthly publication aimed at real car enthusiasts, with real-world cars. At PPC we pride ourselves in providing the most entertaining, informative and inspiring features for petrolheads everywhere. Each month we feature an eclectic mix of affordable performance cars, great driving adventures and world-class technical features for the DIY tuner.

Everyone who works on the magazine is a dyed-in-the-wool car enthusiast and this is reflected in the cars we drive and the topics we write about. Whether it be fast road, track-day or grass roots motorsport you’ll find it in PPC. Our editorial team is headed up by well known editor Will Holman. Will has a deserved reputation for his ’stick a V8 under the bonnet’ attitude to life and has had (and crashed/ had stolen/ rusted away) enough cars to fill a monthly magazine on his own. His editorial team is stacked with experience with the likes of Dave Walker (speciality engine management), of the sadly-missed Car and Car Conversions magazine, David Vizard, the legendary engine tuning guru, and Kevin Leaper (speciality buying cars in pubs) – ex technical editor of Practical Classics. Have a look at the Staff Cars and features to give you a flavour of PPC but for the real thing get along to your local WH Smiths or independent newsagent. PPC is on sale on the last Thursday of every month.
