Well, as we were aiming to hillclimb the all ali 1360 85bhp engine was actually a big plus, and the leather seats had already gone and been replaced with a pair of buckets.
Current spec:
Standard engine
Pipercross filter with cold air feed
Group N engine mounts
Completely stripped interior
OMP 10pt Cage
Buckets
Harnesses
Spax Springs/shocks
GTi brakes
Boot mounted battery
Polycarbonate windows
Ali plated sun roof
Avon ACB10s/Yoko 48Rs/Yoko 21Rs/Michelin slicks
UK Rallye steels / GTi pepperpots
Coming Soon:
GTi torsion bars
24mm GTi-6 ARB
Braided hoses
internal brake lines
Constella Quick shift and rods
Done a few hillclimbs this season. Managed 58.2 at Prescott, 82 at Epynt, 44.4 at Gurston and 41.2 at Shelsley. It handles really well apart from a slight understeer issue which should be solved with the ARB and TBs.
