My Delta Hf powered X 1/9 used to sit at 130mph on the clock (pre-Sat' Nav' so I'd guess 120-ish). Longer legs and double the horses maybe that car could be a contender as well.

The LS1's an all alloy block, I thought the original Mazda engine was cast iron? If that's the case then the LS1 is probably lighter than the original engine
