Is my car too slow?
I came to the PPC in the park event last year and loved it! me and my Dad were mesmerised by the roof chop Roller, that was awesome!
I really want to bring my car this year, but it's a 1L Polo, and isn't going to be modified in any way really by May (would bike carbs and a straight through make THAT much difference to 45bhp anyway????).
I don't feel embarrassed by the car as such, but I am concerned about getting in the way of everyone. Apart from being too slow, I am a complete novice on a track too.
How do the seasoned veterans feel?

I don't think anyone's going to mind you being a bit slower, just so long as you aren't all over the track.
You've got to gain track experience some how, and what better way to start than at PPCITP
Don't be embrassed by what your driving, I'm sure there's a few on here that have owned far worse!!

I'll be taking my completely untested garage creation so I'm more likely to cause a fuss when I break down halfway round Gerrards throwing oil and car parts everywhere...

I'll bring a few packs of jaffa cakes to use as apology biscuits incase I do mess it up!
the next issue is going to be convincing Dad to drive for 3 hours in a stripped out Polo and not a nice comfy car!!
