is there gonna be a stand for us £999 peeps? its the weekend before im supposed to be going to RTTS so im not sure i can make the whole weekend but if we are going to have a little feature stand i will make the effort, i will bring all my tools and do a load of work on the old girl during the day,
Is there anychance of free autotests for us lot? little pre £999 shootout with the cars we got? be good shakedown i think and see where we can spend the last few pennies of the budget to get our cars more even

I know that last year, there was a £999 area, next to the staff cars.

If there is, I might bging Cunning Plan along, even if it's on a trailer, and not running. Just so people can see the sort of junk that gets entered!!!

thats what i reckon, if people can see the kinda cars that are involved they might get some inspiration going out there. be really good if we can get some new faces this year and some interesting cars.

I'm pretty sure I have been tasked to sort out the £999 stand at Mallory. I'll be wanting a list of names and cars for the stand and I'm hoping to get a £999 area of the campsite so we can all get blootered and tiss the pake out of each other.

I'll be bringing the sh!t (as my bro calls it) but I don't suppose it'll be eligible for the 999 this year as its over budget. But it was built for the 999 if that counts. Besides I'll need somewhere to put it while its not on track :D

Although I've just added up the numbers and its still only £981.76 but there's a few little pieces still to add to that.

Hi Guys!

Yes - we'd planned for there to be a £999 challenge stand at PPC in the Park - it would be an area for you guys to all park up and show off your cars. We'd put it next to the PPC Staff cars.

It would be really great if you could come along and be a part of it! There'll be some free beer for you 999ers as a thank you - and a chance to talk over your vehicles with other PPC fans.

We would really like to know how many are planning to come along - like Owelly said - he will be tasked with herding you cats!

Also - if you have any other idea/contacts/suggestions for PPC in the Park attractions etc just email me - I've had a couple already which have proved useful - and we are always looking to improve the event - just PM me or email louise@ppcmag.co.uk

Cheers!

are we going to get a bit of free track time for us £999 massive?

Or as an idea for a bit of an event have a pre £999 shootout. must be fairly easy to mock up a little handling course.

Ill be there, Im bringing the Dutton however i seriously doubt itll be running far less drivable for the event.

Free beer sounds like an awesome idea. I drink Fosters if that helps. I could happily talk about my handy work all day so Ive got no problems sharing.

£999 Camping / Drinking / general piss taking the night before sounds like great fun. Ill make sure I bring some jaffas and a BBQ.

Can you imagine the implications of us having a BBQ on the stand?? The queues for the bogs would be horrendous and then the 'No win, No fee' ambulance chasers trying to sue anyone who was stood near the grill??
I think a BBQ in the camping field within the £999ers wagon circle should limit the amount of food poisoning...

Practical Performance Car (PPC) magazine, a monthly publication aimed at real car enthusiasts, with real-world cars. At PPC we pride ourselves in providing the most entertaining, informative and inspiring features for petrolheads everywhere. Each month we feature an eclectic mix of affordable performance cars, great driving adventures and world-class technical features for the DIY tuner.

Everyone who works on the magazine is a dyed-in-the-wool car enthusiast and this is reflected in the cars we drive and the topics we write about. Whether it be fast road, track-day or grass roots motorsport you’ll find it in PPC. Our editorial team is headed up by well known editor Will Holman. Will has a deserved reputation for his ’stick a V8 under the bonnet’ attitude to life and has had (and crashed/ had stolen/ rusted away) enough cars to fill a monthly magazine on his own. His editorial team is stacked with experience with the likes of Dave Walker (speciality engine management), of the sadly-missed Car and Car Conversions magazine, David Vizard, the legendary engine tuning guru, and Kevin Leaper (speciality buying cars in pubs) – ex technical editor of Practical Classics. Have a look at the Staff Cars and features to give you a flavour of PPC but for the real thing get along to your local WH Smiths or independent newsagent. PPC is on sale on the last Thursday of every month.
