Don't let him fool you. Take a long hard look at the scrap fibreglass on the trailer. Its a doppelgänger.

Its got far too much fibreglass left to the TT.

It will be one of the other plastic abominations he has.

Looks like it donated its rear arches to the turd tho.

Think the pond pump might a tiny bit too big tho. Those bloody fish will end up getting launched into the north sea

A bit of an update for the Tupperware Turd....
Engine and box out...


And found that the reason why 2nd and 4th gear didn't want to play...




The oily bit poking through the adaptor plate is the gear selector shaft and it was hitting the bellhousing gubbins, thus....


Mr bellhousing met mr angry grinder......

Engine and box are now back in the car just waiting to get all it's ancilliaries connected up.

JUst a few more fibreglassing sessions to get the bulkhead back in 'shape' and that's a few more things ticked off the list.

And whilst I had the engine out, I thought I'd take some piccies of my inside-out alternator...




Obviously many folks have told me it won't work but it's run for a couple of hours like this and spurts out 14volts and I can't see it needing to work for much longer than that...

Looking good Owelly, I can't see why there should be a problem with the alternator, so long as it's spinning, it'll produce power, which ever way it turns. (I know telling you this is stating the obvious!!),
I'm glad to see the gear change problem was a fairly easy fix

Normally the only issue with running an alternator the wrong way would be cooling wouldn't it?

If the alternator fails, what about a Honda one? The engines are known for spinning the 'wrong' way.
