sold my ur-quattro last night, still have my S2, but the driveway looks strange! I was reluctant to see it go, but ive taken it as far as i wanted, enjoyed it, abused it, and kicked ass in it, so after 5 years, it was time to move on!!
I needed to free up some funds to finish my Audi TT 1.8T quattro powered mk2 Golf Rallye, i got the haldex controller yesterday, so i can adjust the drive ratio in-car, from 100-0 front to rear, to 80-20, 60-40, 50-50. As in my last mk2 fwd 1.8T, traction was a major problem, and that had 302bhp/310lbft, and with this being the UK, wet roads caused more trouble! TBH, my mk1 G60 had the same trouble,although not so extreme! 3rd gear wheelspin when your not trying starts to wind you up pretty quickly, as does buying tyres! This BAM code 1.8T makes 380bhp/368lbft and will be able to use it with the Haldex 4wd putting every pony down on the road! If the 4wd copes as expected, then i have hardware to get 440-460bhp, which will make for a bloody quick Golf!
