Haha oh id forgot about that
seen it in the mag it looks imaculate

quick question whilst im here
full slicks would i be allowed to run them as i can squeeze 13s over the standard 247mm calipers or would that break the mot rule as the car allready has an mot lol

I'm sure people have ran full slicks for the 1/4 in the past and weren't pulled up on it. There may be question if you won though.

I reckon as long as you turn up with a set of road legal tyres and are happy to run them if the staff question the slicks I'm sure you'll be fine.

You can only run slicks if you're prepared to drive there and back on 'em, making them road-worthy

You'd be better off with a set of 306 steels, the last time I noticed a set of Wellers they were over £300.

Ttw good job im friends with a copper in the local lot then lol!!

And rob you can pick.up 4x108 ones for around 50 quid in shoddy condition
4x100 go for silly money the issue with 306/ax wheels ect are only 5j wide so a slick is a bit too wide for them really

How about Mondeo ones?

five or six by fifteen so plenty of tyre choice, same stud pattern and I think you'd need a set of 10mm spacers and bolts (I have a set if you need them) for the offset. ;)

Its 20mm difference in ford and citroen/peugeot offset (got ford fitment ozs on my 106) if i was to go 15s id get some 406 steelies or something as they can be picked up for next to nothing however 13" slicks are a fair bit cheaper looking on ebay

Got some 106 quicksilver mirrors for a 5er and spent the afternoon in the garage

Image

The wheels are off my 106 and wont be staying on this there just being used to see how the heights looked and so its moveable

I also stripped and painted all the brakes on the car yellow

Also i bought an interior (with my understanding of the rules non performance mods arent in the 1k) it wont be in for the day of the event but anyway was 35 quid

And used the car for the run to work last week :)

Tracking needs adjusting and im still on the lookout for some cheap wheels and sticky rubber cause the cyclones ive lobbed on for now blow the budget lol but all in its getting there and drives pretty nicely tbh

and ive got my 14" 205 1.6 gti rims if i get them that are worth about 40 quid so if i do ill have 100 left for discs and pads

just been and picked these tyres up today
and the 100 i mentioned for brakes i spent 30 on discs and pads so im 70 quid left on the budget once the rims are on

might spend it on some nice pads like mintex 1144 or something

pics of the tyres
