what do you have an how are you doing it? Cars or trick bits, put your shots up here.

Oh dear. Just when you thought three projects were enough...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/220973515057? ... 764wt_1346

...whoops. ;)

I have to admit following the road trip this week I was thinking about what I had planned for the car and felt a bit awkward (sounds familiar doesn't it?). There are hardly any Panda Fantasia models left and modifying this one remembering how the Bianca sun roofs peel off at speed the cheaper 750 (769cc) doesn't have any holes in the top so I could use this one instead.

I only bid on the car to make sure it didn't go for scrap. £170 means £829 to go. ;)

Pair of Pandas. ;)

Rather odd little thing. It has the bed seat but no optional parcel shelf, the engine was fully serviced before the car was parked up and first turn of the key with a little choke the car's purring like a kitten. Bloody marvelous machines. ;)

That 769cc engine has a date with a 126.

Frank your Dad is a man of distinction and taste.

Luckily I found these guys when I was looking for inner arch repair panels for the Seicento...

The RWYB day? I was thinking of running the green Panda completely standard. To set a time to improve upon. The same way I did with the E36 but official timing rather than farm track guesswork.

All the advantages are there, I can use the green Panda as my daily drive without worrying about waking the neighbors and boy racer challenges at every junction, roundabout, set of lights, etc. Also the Red car can be either a test bed for the green car or I can take the gloves off with it.

I haven't taken anything from the Guff racer yet I need to get the Seicento shifted before I can get started really.

I'll have a proper look round the red Panda on Friday.

There is one basic law that will help you decide Rob, everyone who knows anything about cars, knows that red Italian cars are just faster than any other colour car :)

I thought it was yellow ones.

I know green Kawasaki bikes are quicker than other colours for a fact.

Purple and yellow or Guff colours?

A breeding pair Rob?

That's four small Fiats on the front drive - I know they're small, but there can't be much parking space at Chez Relentless at the moment?

As soon as the limited room became taken up with Fiats an Alfa 75 V6 and a wide bodied 155 appeared on eBay for reasonable money.

The red Panda isn't as rare and cost less than the green one so I've applied the formula...

less money + less rare = more grinding ;)

The Seicento will go as well as paying for an engine donor it will make space.

Great you've got me thinking about it now.

I've been looking at new Pandas with air conditioning. Well trying to. They have the 1242cc 8V version of the mighty Fire engine and if I can replace the air conditioning compressor with my Mercedes dual screw Eaton one I could use the adapted brackets and combined alternator/AC belt from the newer car and fit it to my one.

Then it's just a decision to draw through a Weber or pair of TDM carb's or blow through a Renault 5 GtT or MG Metro Turbo carb'. I could re-jet the original Panda carb' as it's basically the same unit used on Golfs and Land Rovers so the air/fuel ratio can be adjusted to suit.

Draw through would need to be compact and through a custom manifold. Blow through would give me the option of chargecooling but the added weight and plumbing wouldn't really be worth it; would it?

What do you guys think?

I think you should keep on thinking. I doubt you'll ever get the blower attached to anything other than you bedroom shelf.
Now that I've prodded you with a stick, prove me wrong. Go on, you know you want to.......

I've said it before and I'll say it again 1.4 FIRE. If you need more power get the turbo'd one. Same engine mounts, gearboxes and driveshafts.
