Is there a way to get the mag digitally? I spend a fair amount of time sat around at work and it not always looked upon very well if you caught reading a mag so was wondering if there is an app or download for an android phone/tablet where I can get my fix of Ppc more stealthily

They use Mac's in PPC Towers so it should be tabletable (able to upload on to a tablet I think that's another new word  ) with an interactive platform like that even a read only file would be open to piracy. Having said that if it could be done in such a way that the profile content could be protected you could add on links to build threads, YouTube clips and have fully interactive adverts with working links to the companies sites.

If each download edition had the same release date as the publication of the hard copies it could not only work but has a lot of potential.

Apart from the additional costs involved (hiring a computer geek) and possible piracy issues I can't think of a reason nobody had done it already.

There was talk of a digital copy which could be bought but it seemed to go nowhere. Possibly due to the copyright issues?

I think the only way to do it would be if they could do a digital version to buy through the iTunes newsstand(I dunno if there's an Android version or not), then you could either buy a single copy, or subscribe to the digital version.

Thanks for the reply I'm sure it's possible with keeping copyright I'm just not geeky enough to know how and I'm talking about android stuff mainly I'm not a fan of fruit based products ;-)

Other magazines do it thru a dedicated app

A Ppc application would be nice for the forums extra it can be hard to read on a phone when I'm working(skiving)

Most, if not all publishing is Mac orientated. Printing industry seems to be anti PC.
(What are PC magazines written on?)

Practical Performance Car (PPC) magazine, a monthly publication aimed at real car enthusiasts, with real-world cars. At PPC we pride ourselves in providing the most entertaining, informative and inspiring features for petrolheads everywhere. Each month we feature an eclectic mix of affordable performance cars, great driving adventures and world-class technical features for the DIY tuner.

Everyone who works on the magazine is a dyed-in-the-wool car enthusiast and this is reflected in the cars we drive and the topics we write about. Whether it be fast road, track-day or grass roots motorsport you’ll find it in PPC. Our editorial team is headed up by well known editor Will Holman. Will has a deserved reputation for his ’stick a V8 under the bonnet’ attitude to life and has had (and crashed/ had stolen/ rusted away) enough cars to fill a monthly magazine on his own. His editorial team is stacked with experience with the likes of Dave Walker (speciality engine management), of the sadly-missed Car and Car Conversions magazine, David Vizard, the legendary engine tuning guru, and Kevin Leaper (speciality buying cars in pubs) – ex technical editor of Practical Classics. Have a look at the Staff Cars and features to give you a flavour of PPC but for the real thing get along to your local WH Smiths or independent newsagent. PPC is on sale on the last Thursday of every month.
