Engine with an 11:1 CR, can it be turbo'd?

Tell PPC and the readers.

Hi all,

I was just doing some random googling last night, and I decided to see what the compression ratio of my Audi's W12 engine was, compared to the Bentley version.
The Bentley, which is turbo'd, is 9.0:1, the Audi version is 11:1 (the VW version is in between at 10:1).
I've heard of people supercharging and turbocharging the Audi engine, which got me wondering.

Can I fit a low pressure turbo system to this engine, without having to alter the compression ratio?
Or, would I be asking for trouble?

This is just a hyperthetical question, as SWMBO has banned me from modding the Audi until we've finished paying for it!!

Cheers Frank.

This! You know it makes sense financially, at the least it means it'll be paid for sooner :D

Also bear in mind thats the static compression not what its like dynamically. It could be changed by long value openings but I suppose thats unlikely on a W12 engine in a limo

Wouldn't Nitrous Oxide be safer and work even better with LPG? ;)
