August's Mag!
Looks a good one, especially liking the 999 warm up article (I'm in it!

yeah you are wrong. Its got too many cylinders and its not from mainland europe. Think of a time when racing drivers were more like fighter pilots without wings and death was something you looked at through every apex.

It was just a quick glance and I couldn't think of any other flat many cylinder engines

First thing is he didn't make it clear there are vtr1000s that aren't SP-1 or 2s and they make about 30bhp less and should be avoided.
Could also offer some suggestions on the reverse setup
And the complete omission of anything about lowering the gearing is worrying, most of the engines listed were fitted to bikes capable of 300kph leaving you with 3 gears that are unusable in a car. Gettign a rwd diff that drops it down enough is important and not to be overlooked.
And an improvement on the article would be the relative weights of the engines, compared to something very high power for its weight like a k-series or one of them vtec honda things they're not that attractive. my rc51 engine is about 96kg, the fiat engine I ripped out was about 110kg inc fwd box, but the rc51 still needed a diff and various other bits adding to it. A modern fiat 1.4 will make almost as much power as the rc51 but have more torque lower down and fit into the car a lot easier. Obviously don't want to put people off doing crazy things with their cars but its nice to know the pitfalls before you start!
does make the point right at the start about buying the whole bike though, but I think it needs to be in capitals and maybe printed onto a tight t-shirt with added boobies just so you read it several times
